Fort Caspar offers sale on women’s history books during Women’s History Month

CASPER, Wyo.– The Fort Caspar Museum said in a news release Wednesday that it is offering a women’s history book sale on Saturday, March 12 to commemorate Women’s History Month.

“March is Women’s History Month, and Wyoming is proud to be the state of equality,” Fort Caspar said. “We’re honoring important women of the West with a sale at the Fort Caspar Museum.”

“Our gift shop has a wide selection of women’s books from the frontier era and before today.”

The sale on Saturday, March 12 will allow museum visitors to purchase women’s history books at a 10% discount.

Fort Caspar said visitors can take a look at its “A View from Center Street: Photos of Casper by Tom Carrigen” exhibit and its permanent exhibit at the museum.

“Admission to the gift shop is always free, but there is a small charge to visit the Museum’s exhibits: $2 for adults; $1.50 for youth (13 to 18) and seniors (62 and over); and children 12 and under and Museum members are free,” Fort Caspar said. “During the winter months, museum hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.”
