According to information shared by NCERT officials, for each state, 25 state discussion groups are being established and these groups have a set of experts in key areas, such as pedagogy, assessment , environmental studies, inclusion, knowledge of India, various disciplines. such as language, social studies, science, mathematics and technology. NCERT received contributions from 27 states in the form of 608 position papers from each of their state discussion groups. These inputs play a role in the development of NCF.

Recently, NCERT released the streamlined curriculum and some chapters on Mughal courts in a history textbook, a poem on the Dalit movement and a chapter on the Cold War were removed from the political science textbook. In the class 10 textbook, the verses of the poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz in ‘Religion, Communalism and Politics – Communalism, Secular State’, ‘Democratic Politics II’ have been deleted. In addition, the chapters entitled “Democracy and diversity”, “Struggle and popular movements” and “Challenges to democracy” have been deleted.
An NCERT official explained, “The National Curriculum is being developed with a 360-degree decentralized consultation process from Villages/Towns to Districts, States and Union Ministries.
